Sally is an Occupational Therapist with over 15 years’ experience across a diverse range of clinical areas with extensive experience in the management of neurological, orthopaedic and general medical conditions in acute, rehabilitation and community settings.
Sally has worked in acute hospital settings managing the transition from hospital into the community. She has also worked as a Rehabilitation Co-ordinator with the Transport Accident Commission, where she was involved in assessing and co-ordinating rehabilitation programs maximising independence in a cost-effective manner. For a number of years prior to this she worked as an Occupational Therapist in the Neurological Unit of the Alfred Hospital. She has an extensive knowledge of neurological and orthopaedic injuries and their functional implications both in terms of work and general daily living requirements.
Sally has experience in Early Intervention, Injury Management, Ergonomic and Workstation Assessment, in addition to RTW management of long term and complex cases, with successful outcomes for all parties.
Within return to work management, Sally’s strengths are her excellent communication skills with all key stake holders, helping to facilitate and negotiate development and progression of return to work programs, to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes for all parties
